Collaboratives Corner

Ongoing collaboratives:

  • Pediatric Readiness Recognition Program Exchange – Join the State Partnership update discussion on June 26 at 1:30 PM CT, register here.
  • Pediatric Readiness Quality Improvement Collaborative (PRQC) has concluded and moved into its Community of Practice (CoP). The goal of the CoP is to bring together past PRQC participants and NPRQI users interested in taking part in the discussion on the selected topic (Pain assessment, Abnormal Vital sign reassessment, Suicide, and Patient Safety) or getting more involved in pediatric readiness activities. Encouraging discussion between participants with more experience and those new to the project to discuss their experiences and how to improve pediatric readiness in their ED. Along with opportunities to hear about other sites' QI efforts, learn from their experiences, and ask questions.
  • The National Pediatric Readiness Quality Initiative (NPRQI) is providing a data visualization tool for emergency departments to enter their data and view their performance. Currently, there are 117 sites utilizing NPRQI, with over 20,000 patient entries. State Dashboards can be viewed by State Partnership Managers when:
  • PPN has launched a new initiative for children’s hospitals, the Disaster Response Collaborative (DRC), to improve pediatric disaster response capability and capacity. Get involved by promoting DRC to children's hospitals or join an existing team! See registered hospitals here. To learn more, contact the team here or visit the DRC website.
