Assessment
The PPRP open assessment is now available at EMSPedsReady.org!
Background

The PPRP Assessment provides EMS and fire-rescue agencies the chance to better understand their ability to provide high-quality care for children. The assessment is based on a joint policy statement and technical report on prehospital pediatric care. This assessment is voluntary, confidential, and takes about 30-45 minutes to complete, and you can save your progress and return later if needed.
The PPRP offers two types of assessment collection periods:
- Nationwide assessment, which takes place every five years and provides a time-limited national “report card” on readiness that guides national improvement efforts; and
- Open assessment, available for agencies to take any time and use for internal reference and improvement.
Participation Benefits
After taking the assessment, you’ll receive:
- Your agency’s Pediatric Readiness score (100-point scale)
- Your agency’s prior Pediatric Readiness score (if available)
- A customized gap report to target efforts for improvement
See what EMS clinicians are saying about the assessment.
