Missouri EMSC is launching a new pediatric drowning simulation training series this summer, in partnership with Dr. Finney, Missouri EMSC Medical Director of Pre-Hospital readiness , to provide EMS professionals with hands-on opportunities to strengthen their assessment, resuscitation, and team-based response skills for one of the leading causes of pediatric injury and death. Through multiple simulation events scheduled across the state, EMS providers will engage in realistic drowning scenarios designed to enhance clinical decision-making, improve communication, and reinforce evidence-based pediatric care practices. This initiative reflects Missouri EMSC’s commitment to ensuring that prehospital providers are prepared to deliver high-quality, coordinated care to children experiencing water-related emergencies in their communities. Check out this video from a news outlet highlighting the work. Find more information on the MO EMSC program on their website.
