New Project Officer Joins HRSA's EMSC State Partnership Team

Please welcome Ms. Melissa Esmero to the HRSA team! Melissa is coming onboard as a Public Health Analyst for the MCHB/DCAFH/EMSC Program, and will be providing technical support as a Project Officer on the EMSC State Partnership Program/Team.

Before joining MCHB, Melissa was the Monitoring and Communication work stream leader for the Value Based Insurance Design Model for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation. Melissa graduated with a Masters in Social Work, a Bachelors in Health Promotion Disease Prevention, and has worked in the public health sector, internationally and domestically, for over eight years. Melissa brings expertise in grants management, project compliance and evaluation, cooperative agreements, sub-grantee management, and public health initiatives. She is fluent in Spanish and lived in Central America and Africa for Peace Corp and International Development positions. We are pleased to have her join our team.
