- Project Overview
- STELAR will:
(1) establish a well-planned and highly productive infrastructure to facilitate implementation of high quality observational and interventional studies throughout the continuum of emergency care for children.
(2) participate in ongoing PECARN studies, propose and apply for funding for new multicenter ED and EMS research projects, use rigorous study design and methodology, and enroll geographically, racially, ethnically and economically diverse participants.
(3) disseminate research findings and develop, implement, and test effective mechanisms for knowledge translation into clinical practice, with inclusion of patient-centered outcomes.
(4) develop early stage research investigators and expand research engagement opportunities to faculty, nurses, and EMS providers across all nodal sites.
