- Project Overview
- Improve the quality of emergency medical care for the ill or injured child and adolescent in Virginia.
1. Make progress toward achieving national EMSC program objectives in Virginia
(which already align with national targets for EMSC performance measures).
2. Facilitate improvement in the pediatric readiness, capacity, coordination and delivery of quality pediatric emergency care within Virginia EMS agencies and hospitals.
3. Participate in national Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives aimed at improving health outcomes.
4. Facilitate integration of pediatric components into the fabric of emergency management and preparedness in Virginia.
5. Continue to integrate permanence of EMSC priorities into the Virginia EMS system. - Institution
