Overview
Improving the quality of pediatric emergency care (PEC) requires measurement. This project aims to create a set of performance measures sensitive to multiple quality domains and pediatric disease frequency. Measures will be evaluated for credibility and ability to capture measures electronically. The goals of this project are to (1) assess the credibility of chosen performance measures through surveys of EMSC stakeholders; (2) assess the current data availability for chosen performance measures by surveying PECARN hospitals; (3) use the results of goals 1 and 2 (and prior work to date) to create documents and data for dissemination; and (4) disseminate and present results of work.
