Data Center

Part of the EMSC Program, the EMSC Data Center (EDC) was established to coordinate the collection and analysis of prehospital and emergency department data to guide improvements in pediatric emergency care.

The EDC serves two primary functions:

1) Assisting EMSC Program grantees, primarily EMSC State Partnership Programs, in the collection, analysis, and utilization of EMSC performance measures and other data to improve the quality of pediatric care in state and territory EMS, hospital, and trauma systems.

2) Serving as a central resource for the Pediatric Emergency Care Applied Research Network (PECARN), assisting with clinical research data collection and management, quality assurance, statistical analysis, and coordination of selected PECARN activities.
