- Published September 24, 2025
The Pediatric Pandemic Network, in collaboration with the Missouri EMSC State Partnership Program, has launched a free training designed for home health nurses, EMS clinicians, and caregivers.
This training focuses on practical skills to support children with medical complexity (CMC) and children and youth with special health care needs (CYSHCN) during critical hospital-to-home transitions. Participants will:
- Understand what CMC and CYSHCN mean—and why they matter in emergency care.
- Learn how to prepare for the first 24 hours of home care.
- Strengthen Pediatric Readiness by improving collaboration with EMS teams.
By completing this training, you’ll gain tools to boost your confidence, better support families, and improve outcomes for children with complex medical needs.
