Each year, EMS Week recognizes the critical role EMS clinicians play in protecting community health. In 2026, the theme - “Improving Outcomes, Together” - highlights EMS clinicians’ direct impact on lives.
The week is presented by the American College of Emergency Physicians in partnership with the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT).
What Is EMS for Children (EMSC) Day?
EMSC Day (May 20) is dedicated to:
- Honoring EMS clinicians who care for children
- Raising awareness about Pediatric Readiness
- Highlighting the work of the federal EMSC Program
Ensuring EMS systems are prepared for pediatric emergencies is essential to improving outcomes for children nationwide.
