Dr. Hollis began her career and continues to work at the CDC, where she started in 2010 as an Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Officer and now works as an Epidemiologist. During her start as an EIS Officer, she was simultaneously commissioned as an Officer into the United States Public Health Service. Dr. Hollis hails from Emory University where she obtained her PhD in Genetics, specializing in genetic epidemiology. She has a BS in Biology from Xavier University of Louisiana (XULA). She has a plethora of domestic and global experience with an emphasis on reduction of health disparities and optimal quality of life for all. Dr. Hollis recently became a nationally certified and licensed EMT to increase her reach and expand her capacity in emergency response and care efforts.
