EMS Clinicians test
Pediatric incidents account for approximately 10% of all prehospital calls. The limited frequency of pediatric interactions results in clinicians being less familiar with – and often less confident in – providing pediatric care. Being “pediatric ready” can reduce anxiety and increase confidence for EMS clinicians. Related research suggests it may also improve patient outcomes.
Prehospital Pediatric Readiness Project: Is your EMS or fire-rescue agency ready?

One of EMSC's flagship programs, the Prehospital Pediatric Readiness Project is a national initiative to improve pediatric emergency care in out-of-hospital settings across the country. The project offers assessment tools and improvement resources.
