QUALITY IMPROVEMENT COLLABORATIVES
To provide support for projects requiring rapid change and a firm knowledge of quality improvement tools and techniques, the EIIC has adopted elements from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s Collaborative Model for Achieving Breakthrough Improvement (SOURCE: http://www.ihi.org/resources/pages/ihiwhitepapers/thebreakthroughseriesihiscollaborativemodelforachievingbreakthroughimprovement.aspx)
The EIIC will provide synchronous and asynchronous QI education, tailored to the needs of each project identified and to meet the needs of the leaners. The methods and content will include critical tenets of QI and be provided in a tiered learner model. Techniques will include collaborative QI project work, multi-media learning systems, written materials, online modules, and grantee sessions.
The first of these QI Collaboratives is the Facility Recognition Collaborative (FRC).
The second QI Collaborative will focus on Pediatric Readiness Quality (PQRC)..
There first webinar introducing the project was held on July 10, 2017. Find more informaiton that was relayed during that session here.
