Emergency Medical Services for Children's (EMSC) mission is to reduce child and youth mortality and morbidity resulting from severe illness or trauma. It is the only federal program that focuses specifically on improving the quality of emergency care for children. The Program aims to enhance currently existing EMS systems (hospital and prehospital based settings) with a pediatric focus.
