Resources & opportunities to improve readiness

EDs looking to improve their readiness should:

• Take the National Pediatric Readiness Project (NPRP) Assessment (available outside of the national assessment period)
• Utilize the NPRP Checklist and Toolkit
• Sign up for the National Pediatric Readiness Quality Initiative, a free, online data tool that enables EDs of any size, type, and volume to input and track pediatric patient data to measure outcomes

Data and national research: Researchers interested in accessing and investigating the 2021 national data can do so through the EMSC Data Center. Learn about the process on the EMSC Data Center’s website. Researchers can also email pedsready@hsc.utah.edu with questions.

ED- and state-level data and research: For access to ED- and state-level data or to engage in a QI/research project at the state level, contact your state’s EMSC State Partnership Program Manager using the grant database. Note that data permissions and access may vary by state.
