The New Jersey Emergency Medical Services for Children Program is dedicated to safeguarding the health and well-being of our youngest residents by ensuring pediatric readiness in emergency medical services. We are committed to protecting our children's health through effective injury prevention strategies, reducing injury-related mortality, while promoting healthy communities, and continuously enhancing the quality of pediatric emergency care across New Jersey.

Our vision is for all children in New Jersey to receive timely, equitable, and high-quality emergency medical care that prioritizes readiness and reduces morbidity and mortality from illness and injury. We aim to create a responsive, inclusive emergency medical system that enables children to live long, healthy lives and achieve their full potential, while adapting to the evolving healthcare landscape.

EMSC collaborates with healthcare providers, public health agencies, EMS organizations, educators, and families to promote pediatric readiness, prevent injury and mortality, while improving outcomes for children in emergencies.
