Resource Overview
- The direct link to the website where you can officially evaluate your emergency department’s (ED) readiness to care for children.
- Use results to guide improvements, track progress, and strengthen Pediatric Readiness.
How to Use This Resource
- Only one assessment may be submitted per ED during each nationwide period (March–May). Please coordinate responses with your team, typically including the ED nurse manager, ED medical director, pediatric emergency care coordinators, and trauma coordinators, if applicable.
- We recommend printing the assessment PDF to complete as a team, then submitting it electronically through the portal once finalized.
- Share results with your team and leadership to guide improvement.
- Repeat the open assessment as needed to monitor progress.
