PECC Roles/Job Descriptions

Flyer: A new initiative is being pushed out by the Arkansas Emergency Services for Children. (EMSC) Arkansas EMSC is asking each agency to establish a Pre-Hospital Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator (PECC) in order for EMS providers to feel comfortable and confident in themselves when a pediatric call comes through dispatch. Whether your agency is urban, rural, volunteer or paid, various staffing models can fit your need to establish a PECC!

This guide was created through collaboration of EMS agency leadership, medical directors, pediatric emergency physicians, established EMS PECCs, and members of the Louisiana EMS for Children Advisory Board.
