Sharing Knowledge Using Telehealth to Disburse Pediatric Expertise
The Telehealth Workgroup for Region V for Kids (formerly Eastern Great Lakes Pediatric Center of Excellence) conducted two surveys of Children's hospitals to assess regional telehealth capabilities. Both online surveys were tools for the workgroup's goal of developing a sustainable, regional telehealth network of pediatric expertise. The questionnaire revealed one key observation: across the region Children's hospitals telehealth response to Covid-19 was to maximize the use of available telehealth systems. Regional Pediatric Disaster Telehealth Capability
The Telehealth Workgroup for Region V for Kids (formerly Eastern Great Lakes Pediatric Center of Excellence) conducted two surveys of Children's hospitals to assess regional telehealth capabilities. This survey builds upon their previous work by expanding the database to cover the full Region V for Kids footprint. All three of the online surveys ere tools for the workgroup's goal of developing a sustainable, regional telehealth network of pediatric expertise. This survey revealed one key remark: across the region, telehealth was used as a tool of sustainment for normal operations, not as a tool of pandemic response. Click below to access the report.
