The Eastern Great Lakes Pediatric Consortium for Disaster Response (EGLPCDR) invites you to participate in a virtual telehealth exercise designed to demonstrate and test pediatric disaster telehealth activities. Consortium organizations will perform a series of functional tasks related to pediatric disaster and surge response.

Who should participate:

  • Emergency Department Physicians
  • State Health Department Emergency Managers
  • Pediatric Behavioral Health Providers
  • Critical Care Transport Organizations
  • Emergency Preparedness Personnel
  • Telehealth Program Managers
  • Telehealth Network and Systems Engineers

Exercise topics will include:

  • Pediatric ICU consultation
  • Pediatric Triage during an urban mass casualty incident (MCI)
  • Multi-state coordination of pediatric disaster response
  • Just-In-Time pediatric behavioral health training
  • Remain-in-place versus long distance transportation decisions
  • Consultation during air and ground evacuation
  • Use of portable ultra-sound technology during pediatric telehealth consultation
