The Eastern Great Lakes Pediatric Consortium for Disaster Response (EGLPCDR) invites you to participate in a virtual telehealth exercise designed to demonstrate and test pediatric disaster telehealth activities. Consortium organizations will perform a series of functional tasks related to pediatric disaster and surge response.
Who should participate:
- Emergency Department Physicians
- State Health Department Emergency Managers
- Pediatric Behavioral Health Providers
- Critical Care Transport Organizations
- Emergency Preparedness Personnel
- Telehealth Program Managers
- Telehealth Network and Systems Engineers
Exercise topics will include:
- Pediatric ICU consultation
- Pediatric Triage during an urban mass casualty incident (MCI)
- Multi-state coordination of pediatric disaster response
- Just-In-Time pediatric behavioral health training
- Remain-in-place versus long distance transportation decisions
- Consultation during air and ground evacuation
- Use of portable ultra-sound technology during pediatric telehealth consultation
