Brian Yorkgitis, PA-C, DO, FACS started his career in healthcare as an EMT. He then went on to complete his education as a physician assistant (PA). As a PA, he worked in various fields including emergency medicine, surgery, orthopedics, and critical care for children. Brian went on to attend medical school at Philadelphia College of Medicine. He trained at Temple University for general surgery residency and critical care fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital. His passion for caring for children lead him to UF Health Jacksonville, the first trauma center in the State of Florida that has been caring for injured children for almost four decades. In 2018, he became the Pediatric Trauma Medical Director. With his healthcare foundation in EMS, Brian enjoys continuing to serve as the Associate Medical Director of TraumaOne Flight Services.
